Blue skies are waiting

Well I am leaving Portland Oregon after relocating here 9 mos ago. Oregon is a {beautiful place} and there is a reason for it being so green and its a thing called rain and lots of gray skies! I didnt think it would bother me but being raised in a Southern California beach community and then later moving to sunny Las Vegas it has...I so crave the sun and so does my family so we are hitting the road in the wee hours of Tuesday morning to go back to good ol Las vegas and I have a house with a nice pool waiting for me ;) I Loved loved loved opening up Vintage lucys boutique on alberta street and had such fun I mean I didnt even get the ball rolling on it before I decided I was going to high tail it back to vegas...Which is totally ok with me as I can make that happen where ever I go and I have something much better in mind but its a secret! So with that said wish me luck on an 18 hour drive with 5 kids and yes a few furry friends are coming along too lol.

We will be closing!!

So We have made a decision that we will be moving out of state next month so that means We will be closing up shop from July 3rd 2010 - July 12th 2010. You may still place orders but they will not be processed between those dates. Please check back around August as we will be releasing our Fall/winter line around that time :) Remember we do home trunk shows and have Trunk Queens waiting to assist you on having a successful home trunk party so please contact me for more info :)

My favorite is the Polkadots...I got alot of {not so interested} replies to dots but trust me he will be so handsome with some cuffed up dark levis or some board shorts and flip flops for summer! Where has the time gone

I must say time flys when your having fun {I guess} :) Because I was going through pictures today and found some cute ones of bailey from when I first started back in 2002. Well I thought they where so cute and just wanted to share them with you all.....I mean bailey is my baby girl and looking at these I guess shes not so little anymore :( Time passes by so fast I guess.

Big Sale {update}

Ok so I am feeling the {love} from all of you awesome girls! The sale was much bigger than anticipated so please bare with me as all items are {handmade} by me and my husband :) I was curious and was up at midnight when the sale started and was amazed as my mail box just clicked clicked and clicked I was like wow! It continued the next day ...I mean I was amazed and so honored that you all love my designs that I have worked so hard at. Okay so this post is to let ya know that we just started shipping out orders and we are hoping to have them all out by no later than next week...its going to be late nights and lots of coffee for me but thats ok because this is what I love to do!

So sad to see this dress retire but its true this is no longer available so if you have it consider yourself {lucky} Bailey loves hers even though its more like a top now it still looks good with some denim shorts.

It was an early morning for us and Bailey {my youngest daughter} wanted in on mamas shop this day so she had us make her a little table out front of the store with her little soda pop necklaces and other small trinkets she made...they are really cute for the kids too. Boutique Baby blankets & burp cloths

I just added a few new blankets to the etsy shop and they are adorable. We printed them on a very high quality two ply ring spun cotton and they are so soft and thick your baby will love to rub it in their hands not to mention admire the cute colorful prints! Come take a peek here.

Just wanted to share the window I decorated in boys stuff! My husband is not handy so I am very very proud of the window display boxes that he built for me! I took a quick pic of it and I love the pink stuff it matches my front door girl!

Wow I didnt know............

I was contacted about a month ago by a sweet customer who was so relieved to find me and wrote me on how hard and long it was and I was so flattered that people have searched for my items! I have worked on Vintage lucys for some time now and have made a loyal following of customers and boutiques around the world and I am greatful for it and still love to hear customers stories and WOW they actually search for me. Ok so I have copied and pasted what she wrote {per her approval} it made my day so I just wanted to share with you all as word of mouth does help :)

Hi again! Now that I know they are american apparel, I will take them into the store to try them on this week! That way I will know for sure :). WELL..it all started with a friend last summer hehe. She had a Vintage lucys shirt for her daughter, I asked where she got it and she said she found it at a consignment shop. She is the one who told me it was vintage lucys. I then searched relentlessly on Ebay to find out where to find the shirt, I had never heard of Etsy at this point. Fast forward a few unsuccessful months. I then had one of my favorite Ebay sellers list a lot of 3 vintage lucy shirts, but WAY too big. I asked her where she bought them and she said she had no idea as they were a gift. I was getting frustrated at this point hehe. In November, I joined a message board and FINALLY someone there was able to give me my answer. SO , I discovered Etsy today..and I don't see me going back. I wish I had known about this site sooo long ago, I would have had so much fun!! Now it's time to make up for lost time =). First on the agenda was to find the shirt..and I'm SO glad I have!! I feel accomplished for the day hehe. And while looking through your things, I fell in love with the Tough Girl shirt for my youngest. She's a rough and tumble little girl hehe..and it suits her personality amazingly! Sorry..that was really long!!! Well, I will get them to try on the shirts at some point in store this week and get right back to you...I'm thrilled needless to say! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly :)

Hooray...Grand opening!

Ok did we say Grand opening??? We will actually be peeling off the kraft paper from our windows this friday morning for a {soft opening} as we have had such a demand for Vintage Lucy's wholesale that we could not make a huge inventory for our store but I think we have a good variety for our customers to come and take a peek. OUr doors will open Friday April 16th at 10 -7 Come visit us and recieve 30% off selected items this weekend only! We are located at 3010 Ne alberta street Portland oregon 97211.

Double the {cuteness}

I had to post some easter pictures I just recieved from one of my customers {Thanks Kristi} :) Her girls are so adorable and she purchased my Easter Bunny Tanks for them to do their easter activities in this year and I am {flattered} that she chose me to help dress her two little darlings for their fun and festive activities like an easter egg hunt. My kids had a great easter too an this year our chihuahua didnt find the eggs first lol.

I love them!

I just purchased two {vintage} mannequins for my store and they are just soooo cute I had to share them with you! I know they are boys {I need some girl ones} and they are also missing their arms but the faces are so cute I couldnt resist purchasing them. Now im off to find some arms and I have a feeling its not going to be easy and maybe even impossible....any suggestions on how to display them {wink}
